Device Fingerprinting for Cyber-Physical Systems: A Survey

The continued growth of the cyber-physical system (CPS) and Internet Things technologies raises device security monitoring concerns. For identification, authentication, conditioning, security, fingerprint/fingerprinting (DFP) is increasingly used. However, finding correct DFP features sources to establish a unique stable fingerprint challenging. We present state-of-the-art survey techniques for CPS applications. investigate numerous features, their origins, characteristics, Additionally, we discuss characteristics in detail, taking into account physical contexts various entities (i.e., machines, sensors, networks, computational devices), as well software applications CPS. believe that this article will provide researchers developers with insights its applications, sources, aggregation methods, factors affecting use domains.
